Victim or Recipient?

Hello,
Geez, the financial landscape has us all in a Twitter, and I don't mean the Twitter network. I mean all in a flutter. People are still losing their jobs to downsizing, or just a lean marketplace. Don't worry, it's happening to us all, not just to you.

Your choice is not to take the victim point of view. Victim language is, "Why is this happening to me? If your a recipient of the Universal gift of opportunity, the language would be, "Why is this happening FOR me?" You may have been in a dead end job or even a job that you loved. It's over. It's time for something new. The Universe allows you a certain amount of time to discover this on your own. If you don't do anything about it, but long or dream of something better, whoa! the Universe may do it for you.

You lose your job. Now the opportunity has presented itself. What are you going to do about it? You still need to pay your bills, so at least job hunt in a field you're interested in. Ask to volunteer or be an paid or unpaid intern to get your foot in the door. Sign up with a temp agency who places people with skills in short assignments. That may lead to a job offer when the economy picks up.

Be grateful for all that you have, and more will come. Pity parties usually only have you at the party, cause no one else wants to come. And, don't forget to ask for help, even financial help, from family. Or, barter goods and services with others for something you need. Never know if your hairdresser would exchange a cut and color if you cleaned out their garage!!

Now, go for it!
Blessings, Cheryl
